Job summary

Altium Packaging in Bessemer, AL is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to run blow mold, grinder and trimmer equipment on the night shift. You will troubleshoot production issues, perform minor maintenance and work closely with teammates to maximize efficiency and production quality.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, adjusting speed, conducting quality audits, maintaining logs, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience as a machine operator.
• Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Machine maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines and conveyors.
• Perform quality checks and audits on outputs.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs.
• Maintain activity logs and record keeping.
