Job summary

Altium Packaging in Bessemer, Alabama is seeking a Machine Operator for the night shift to operate blow-mold, grinder, and trimmer machines. You will troubleshoot process issues, perform minor maintenance, and ensure production-line efficiency and quality under 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

The role requires 2+ years of machine operating experience, ability to read blueprints and manuals, and a solid mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience as a machine operator.
• Working knowledge of high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Operate blow-mold machines and related equipment.
• Perform audits and quality checks on outputs.
• Enter data into SPC database for quality control measures.
• Troubleshoot, perform minor maintenance and repairs on equipment.
