Job summary

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in Hutchinson is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide professional nursing care in a long-term care setting. Under supervision of a registered nurse or physician, you will participate in care planning and support residents’ health and comfort.

Qualifications include completion of an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license; an Associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program with supervised clinical experience or 400 hours as LPN at another facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered and document outcomes.
• Maintain health, safety, and comfort of residents; support care plans.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the care team.
