Good Samaritan NE Albion is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our not-for-profit long-term care team. You will provide compassionate nursing care to residents during night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, under supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to maintain quality care and a supportive environment for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as an LPN.
• Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program with clinical experience or 400 hours as LPN.
• Unencumbered LPN license with state privileges.
• Annual CEU and competency training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Demonstrate nursing principles for residents per care plan.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Counsel residents and families on prevention and treatment plans.
• Support health, comfort and safety of residents.
• Maintain professional relationships with residents and providers.
