Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is hiring a full-time LPN/LVN for the Med-Surg unit, night shifts 7p–7a. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, support safety and care coordination to improve outcomes.

The role requires an LPN/LVN license, a high school diploma, and BLS. IV and BW certs within 90 days are expected; prior healthcare experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN/LVN license required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS certificate on hire and maintained.
• Healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in Med-Surg.
• Monitor vitals and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
