Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 12-week Med Surg assignment in Lewiston, Maine. This role provides bedside care during nights, supports care plans, and collaborates with RNs and physicians to ensure patient safety.
Requirements include an LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certifications, and a current BLS. Compensation ranges from $40–$50 per hour, paid weekly, with opportunities to advance through tailored pathway options.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; LPN/LVN license required
- IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification required
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of LPN Med Surg experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment
- Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes
- Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws
- Support care plans and patient throughput
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance
- Document care in EMR/EHR systems
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly
