Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the 28-bed Med/Surg unit. You will assist with patient visits, prepare exam rooms, support providers, and participate in treatments and wound care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

You will work 3x12s night shifts (7pm-7am), with holidays and weekends required, as part of a collaborative care team. A sign-on bonus up to $7,500 is available for eligible day-shift candidates with a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina or compact state LPN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists Providers with preparation and information documentation for the patient's visit including obtaining vitals, medical history and other pertinent information from the patient.
• Prepares exam rooms for patients.
• Assists Providers with procedures as directed by the Provider.
• Assists with collection of lab samples.
• Gives injections, administers meds, and provides wound care as ordered by Provider.
• Documents all care and education in medical record.
