Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a Medical-Surgical unit. You will provide direct patient care, monitor patients, and support care plans on a 12-hour night shift (7p–7a). A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with a competitive benefits package.

The role requires an LPN/LVN license, IV/BW certification within 90 days, and a current BLS. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status, and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control.
