Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center Inc in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Medical-Surgical unit. The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, supporting safety and care coordination.

The position is full-time with 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a). A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• LPN or LVN license.
• IV certification within 90 days of hire date.
• BW (Blood Withdrawal) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a Med-Surg environment.
• Monitor vital signs, patient status and clinical changes.
• Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
• Support care plans and patient throughput.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance.
• Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
