Southern Health Partners is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team at the Morgan County Jail in Alabama. This full-time night shift position offers a 12-hour schedule with every other weekend, providing structured, meaningful patient care in a secure environment.

You’ll deliver direct nursing care, administer medications, complete assessments, and coordinate with medical providers within the facility.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license in the state of Alabama.
• Current CPR certification.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in urgent situations.
• Commitment to providing quality, compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients within the correctional facility
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Complete nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
• Respond to urgent and emergent healthcare needs
• Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to medical providers
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Assist with chronic and acute care needs
• Promote continuity of care throughout the facility
• Follow established clinical policies, procedures, and standards
• Provide professional and compassionate care in a safe and secure environment
