Job summary

Sunshine Communities is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the night shift team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, in a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities include medication administration, IV therapies, care planning with physicians, record-keeping, and collaboration with Nursing Leadership. Ohio LPN license, clean driving record, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• LPN licensed to practice in Ohio is required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must clear criminal background and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Act as representative for Sunshine and the nursing department.
• Consult with physicians and other professionals regarding care plans.
• Provide high-quality medical care including medications and IV therapies as permitted.
• Prepare, dispense, administer and document medications per policy.
• Maintain daily treatment records and reports.
• Deliver treatments as scheduled and document results.
• Assist in emergencies and support other units as needed.
• Report trends and unusual occurrences to Nursing Leadership.
• Educate and mentor individuals, staff and families.
• Manage medication orders, storage, and supplies.
• Participate in daily floor nursing communications.
• Contribute to Medicaid documentation and surveys.
• Follow all regulations and policies; handle filing as needed.
