Job summary

Brio Living Services in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time night shift. You will provide direct care, administer medications, and monitor health while leading a care team to deliver high-quality services.

Qualifications include Michigan LPN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and prior geriatric care experience. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered along with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but we’ll consider an Associate degree with relevant experience.
• Licensure: Must hold a current LPN licensure in Michigan.
• Certifications: CPR or BLS certification is required.
• Experience with Seniors: Prior experience in geriatric care is valued.
• Care Setting Experience: Background in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift/move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Direct Nursing Care – Administer medications, wound care, monitor vital signs.
• Conduct Health Assessments – Evaluate residents and report changes to the clinical team.
• Monitor and Adjust Care Plans – Update care plans based on resident conditions.
• Coordinate Interdisciplinary Care – Work with care teams to improve residents’ quality of life.
• Supervise and Mentor Staff – Oversee nursing assistants and provide guidance.
• Document Resident Care – Maintain accurate daily/monthly records.
• Manage Admissions and Discharges – Perform required admission/discharge procedures.
• Maintain Medical Records – Ensure records comply with policies.
• Ensure Safety and Infection Control – Follow protocols to keep residents and staff safe.
• Engage in Ongoing Education – Maintain certifications and stay current.
