Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the night shift at Marion County Jail in Indianapolis. You will work under RN supervision to deliver patient care, administer medications, and support treatment plans in a secure facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one year clinic experience.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions, contributing to treatment planning and coordinating with RNs and staff.
• Implements treatment programs, administers medications (including IV therapy if certified), and conducts diagnostic tests per protocols.
• Counts controlled substances at shift start, follows safety techniques, and responds to health emergencies per standard guidelines.
• Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures, follows nutrition/diet plans, and documents nursing encounters using SOAP notes for clear communication.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions, showing commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to policies.
