Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Capron, VA to deliver direct patient care in a correctional setting under supervision. Night shift 7:00pm–7:30am, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document in EMR.

Must hold a VA license, have at least 1 year of LPN experience, and provide PSV with current certifications (BLS, N95 fit test, immunizations, TB). Competitive local pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

Current VA LPN license in good standing.
Minimum 1+ year LPN experience within last 3 years.
Valid PSV from licensing board or verification agency.
BLS and required certifications (N95, immunizations, TB).

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under supervision of RN/physician.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and record vital signs; report changes.
Assist with assessments and individualized care plans.
Perform wound care, specimen collection, and basic procedures.
Document care in EMR; educate patients and families.
Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers; maintain safe environment.
