Job summary

Cypress Valley Center for Nursing in North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our night shift team from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You will deliver direct resident care under the RN supervision and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure health, comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring changes, documenting in the EMR, and supporting admissions, transfers and discharges.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted LPN license in North Carolina.
• CPR certification (First Aid certification preferred).
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or acute care is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and nursing leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate changes to the Registered Nurse and healthcare team.
• Perform routine nursing procedures including medication administration, wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and vital signs.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Implement individualized care plans and contribute to resident assessments.
• Provide compassionate care while promoting resident dignity, comfort, and safety.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and medical emergencies during overnight hours.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, CNAs, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards.
• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
