Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide safe and competent nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The role includes direct patient care, collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and support for patient-centered outcomes.

The position is full-time, on-site in Kinston with a night schedule and a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Licensed Practical Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• BCLS Certification.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Successfully completed hospital approved pharmacology examination with a score of 80 or above.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients and families as part of the healthcare team.
• Maintain a friendly, helpful, courteous environment and project a positive image of the unit and hospital.
• Support the Registered Nurse and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to achieve high standards of care.
