Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) for full-time night-shift duties in the Acute Rehab department. The role involves delivering direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, ensuring safety and comfort within the MST setting.

The position requires an LPN/LVN license, plus IV and BW certifications within 90 days, and a current BLS card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the MST setting.
