Job summary

South Pointe Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the night shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM). You will provide comprehensive nursing care, administer medications, and implement physician orders while coordinating with the care team to meet each resident’s needs.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time qualifying candidates, competitive pay, PTO, holidays, tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 per year, 401(k) with company match, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN School of Nursing
• One year of nursing experience is preferred
• Valid LPN license
• Valid CPR certification
• Candidates must have covid vaccination
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff

Responsibilities

• Highly motivated and able to assist in all aspect of nursing
• The candidate will provide services that exceed company and regulatory standards
• Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans
• Assesses and documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders
• Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications
• Administers medications
• Starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents
• Documents that treatment as required
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically, and that equipment is clean and maintained a safe manner
• Other duties as assigned
