VitalCore Health Strategies in Janesville, Wisconsin is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support Rock County Jail on a full-time night shift (7pm–7am, 3x12s). This role delivers nursing care within the LPN scope and collaborates with the Medical Director and nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
• Possesses an active CPR certification.
• Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
• Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a systematic approach to meet the health needs of each patient.
• Implements nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice and complies with local laws.
• Assists in developing and implementing teaching plans for health promotion and restoration of health.
• Cares for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing/bandaging.
• Administers medications to offenders.
• Provides care for multiple patients as directed by medical leadership.
• Monitors vital signs and reports changes to appropriate medical staff.
• Documents actions in the MAR and medical records.
