Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a Full-Time Night shift position at Outagamie County Jail in Appleton, Wisconsin. PRN days and nights are also available.

The LPN provides nursing care within the scope of practice, conducts patient monitoring as directed by supervisors, and supports correctional healthcare services with professionalism and compassion. Candidates must hold a valid Wisconsin LPN license; correctional or behavioral health experience is desired

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid LPN license in Wisconsin.
• Works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice.
• Experience in Correctional or behavioral health is desired but not required.

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care that is consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. The LPN is responsible for tasks, activities and functions as delegated and may make assignment of duties to others as defined in their state of practice act. The LPN provides monitoring of patients as directed by the HSA, DON, RN, or Medical Director or other practitioner.
