Job summary

Uber Freight in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Logistics Specialist to execute First and Middle Mile transportation operations. You will monitor freight movements, manage exceptions, and act as the first contact for transportation events to maintain service levels.

You will coordinate with carriers, track shipments, escalate issues, and support onboarding while ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely communications across Operations, Customer Success, and Leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, brokerage, or operations.
• Experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Comfortable with TMS and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound/outbound transportation movements across the network.
• Track shipments and identify service risks before impact.
• Manage transportation exceptions such as delays or weather events.
• Coordinate with carriers for updated ETAs and recovery plans.
• Execute incident management and communicate service-impacting events.
• Escalate issues and coordinate recovery for delayed shipments.
• Maintain shipment status updates in transportation systems.
• Communicate updates to Operations, Success, and Leadership as needed.
• Support carrier onboarding and readiness activities.
• Document incidents and assist with post-incident reviews.
