Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking a Per Diem Night Nurse Assistant to provide basic nursing care from 7 pm to 7 am. You will assist with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting, take vital signs, collect specimens, observe patient conditions, and report changes to the charge nurse.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. BLS certification and NH LNA licensure are required, with 1-2 years of clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records vital signs and weights according to policy.
• Provides hands-on patient care.
• Provides grooming and personal care to patients.
• Feeds or assists patients with meals and provides additional nourishment and hydration according to the care plan.
• Collects and bags soiled linen and delivers it to the designated dirty linen area.
• Assists physicians and/or licensed nurses with treatments and procedures as needed.
• Provides toileting and incontinence care for patients/clients.
• Reports changes in the patient's condition to the charge nurse and/or supervisor.
