Job summary

Elliot Health System in Manchester, NH seeks a Licensed Nursing Assistant I for the Geropsychiatric Unit (GPU) to support patients 65+ with cognitive impairment and psychiatric illness. The LNA works under RN supervision, performing direct and indirect care and providing emotional support to patients and families.

Qualifications include NH LNA licensure, high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to obtain BLS during orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Current New Hampshire licensure as LNA required.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment.
• Aggression de-escalation training approved by EHS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Report observations, symptoms, deviations from normal, and changes in patient’s condition to RN.
• Provide basic support to patients and families.
• Documents in selected areas of the medical record as appropriate.
