Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Linehaul Driver to transport freight between service centers and designated points. You will operate a tractor-trailer (single or double) in various road types and weather, verify dispatch, load documents, and ensure safety and customer service.

The role requires 21+ years old, 6 months driving experience, and a valid CDL A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements, plus pass a background check and drug test.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• 6 months driving experience.
• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass background check and alcohol and drug test.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Valid CDL A with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, and Doubles/Triples Endorsement.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read maps, road signs, and maintenance log.
• Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers.
• Must satisfactorily pass alcohol and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight between Southeast’s Service Center or designated points in-between.
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination (single or double) in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all types of weather conditions.
• Receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify load against shipping documents.
