Job summary

TransCore ITS, LLC is seeking a Technician I to join our South Florida team. The role covers field servicing, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation of lighting systems and related roadway infrastructure along the I-595 corridor.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation; you will operate bucket trucks and work at heights up to 80 feet. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

0–2 years of general work experience.
Valid driver’s license required; company vehicle provided for travel between locations.
Knowledge of electronic theory, schematics, and test equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Willingness to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of roadway lighting systems.
Maintain street, structure, high mast, and navigational lighting equipment.
Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately and timely.
Complete monthly and annual inspections of lighting assets.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, and control systems.
Install, upgrade, and maintain field equipment, wiring, conductors, conduit, poles, foundations, and related infrastructure.
Operate bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment; comfortable working at heights 40–80 ft.
Test equipment and systems to verify proper operation.
Prepare logs and reports documenting field conditions and maintenance activities.
Perform preventive maintenance to maximize system reliability.
