Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Aiken, SC is seeking a highly motivated Supplier Quality Technician Lead to safeguard the assembly line by leading a team of quality technicians across shifts and prioritizing containment and corrective actions. You will monitor supplier quality notifications, drive containment actions, and coordinate with sourcing, manufacturing and suppliers to close issues quickly.

This role requires problem-solving, blueprints interpretation, and strong manufacturing process

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus mechanical/engine trade schooling or an associate degree.
• Minimum 3 years in durable-goods assembly/manufacturing or 5 years in similar environment.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, raw materials, quality control and problem solving.
• Ability to read control plans, blueprints, layouts and quality docs.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily work for Supplier Quality technicians across both shifts, including priorities and handoffs.
• Monitor open supplier quality notifications and drive containment and corrective actions to closure.
• Lead immediate response to supplier-related defects impacting assembly operations.
• Establish and verify containment actions at plant, warehouse, supplier or other locations.
• Coordinate sorting, inspection, traceability, disposition and replacement-material activities with responsible functions.
