Salary Range: 119,800 – 182,700 annually (salary range is based on market data; final salary offered is determined by education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant.)

Project Overview

Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States, enough to power over one million electric vehicles per year. The EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team of contractors while managing procurement of about $1 billion in goods and services.

Job Summary

Supervise mechanical craft professionals. Direct craft professional activities and work schedules, coordinate subcontract work activities and develop the team. Ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with construction tools and equipment and their uses.
• Extensive technical knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations; coordinate with other stakeholders for smooth and safe execution of mechanical activities at site.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite for word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Manage union craft.
• Develop construction plans, then monitor and control the work as planned.
• Manage subcontractors to assure compliance with subcontract drawings and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and Bechtel Core Processes.
• Ensure safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations are adhered to.
• Support and enforce Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.
• Maintain positive customer relations skills.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10‑13 years of relevant experience or 14‑17 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Heavy industrial direct-hire construction experience.
• Extensive working knowledge of construction planning, monitoring, and control.
• Knowledge of the use of subcontracts and contractor/subcontractor responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
• Knowledge of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of safety and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills.
