Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is seeking a Lead Lab Technologist - Generalist for the night shift to oversee laboratory operations across Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology. This role requires leadership and a hands-on approach in a fast‑paced hospital setting.

You will perform testing, run quality control, calibrate instruments, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with the supervisor to prevent supply shortages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science required.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical laboratory experience or 2 years with Master’s degree or 1 year with MD/DO/PhD in chemical, physical or biological science.

Responsibilities

• Lead the flow process of Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology at night.
• Perform testing, QC, calibration of instruments, and troubleshooting issues.
• Monitor supplies and coordinate with Supervisor to prevent testing downtime.
