Job summary

NMS is seeking a Lead Janitor for night shifts in Valdez, Alaska. You will direct cleaning staff, ensure safety standards, and coordinate supplies across client sites. The role requires supervisory experience and the ability to work 10-12 hours per shift.

Responsibilities include training staff, inspecting quality, and responding to maintenance or safety issues. Rate of pay is $22-$25 per hour, DOE, and a TWIC may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year experience with cleaning equipment and processes.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Must obtain TWIC within 30 days of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (3 years).
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (drug test, physical, etc.).
• Must be able to stand 10–12 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties required of a janitor or other assigned employee.
• Supervises and guides housekeeping staff.
• Maintains safety and quality standards.
• Operates cleaning equipment and uses PPE.
• Trains staff and conducts inspections.
• Coordinates equipment care and transport to client sites.
