Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Lead Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to patients in recovery. This on-site role in Stuart, FL reports to the Director of Operations and involves night shifts with weekend availability.

You will lead the shift, supervise patients, conduct safety checks, and coordinate care with medical and therapy staff while fostering a respectful, empathetic environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience as a Lead BHT in substance abuse or mental health.
• Safe driving record with clean DMV report for last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift as designated by Supervisor/Director and communicate relevant information to the team.
• Supervise patients and facility grounds, perform safety checks, and coordinate with medical staff as needed.
• Conduct UDS and pregnancy tests in accordance with policy and document results.
• Provide empathetic patient support and escalate clinical concerns to therapy staff as appropriate.
• Collaborate with team to ensure high-quality care and maintain positive relationships within the treatment community.
• Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and discharge preparations while ensuring safety and supplies management.
