Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) seeks a Laboratory Technologist II to join the Main Hospital Rapid Results Laboratory. You will perform technical duties across laboratory sections with minimal supervision and maintain complete, accurate records.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences, and a NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist License, plus 2+ years of laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
• 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience (hematology, chemistry experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties in all laboratory sections with minimal supervision.
• Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized records/logs/files.
• Prepare results for analysis and enter test results into the computer with minimal supervision.
• Ensure accuracy by following SOPs and maintaining equipment; produce neat, accurate documents.
• Contribute to safety and cleanliness of the lab and supply area.
• Provide direction and training on laboratory procedures; supervise assigned shift/area.
• Assist management to set up new instrumentation and optimize protocols.
