Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences is required.
• Current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License is required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience (hematology, chemistry experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties in all laboratory sections with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate records/logs/files in an organized manner.
• Prepare results for analysis and enter test results into the computer with minimal supervision.
• Ensure accuracy of tests by following SOPs; perform routine and advanced equipment maintenance.
• Contribute to safe, clean, and adequately supplied lab area and provide guidance on procedures.
• Oversee shift/area activities and provide training/feedback on lab procedures.
• Manage laboratory environment in compliance with NYS DOH, Joint Commission, OSHA and CLIA.
• Support management to set up new instrumentation and optimize protocols.
