Job summary

Essential qualifications include NV RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE with unit-specific fetal monitoring credentialing. BSN is preferred; strong communication and teaching skills expected.

Qualifications

• Nevada RN licensure or interim permit.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP within 6 months of hire; STABLE within 12 months.
• AWHONN C-EFM or NCC C-EFM certification within 3 years.
• BSN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess pregnant and postpartum patients; monitor vitals, fetal heart tones, and fundal height.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans with the care team.
• Involve patient and family in planning and goal setting.
• Deliver newborn care and monitor newborn vital signs.
• Educate patients and families; discharge planning elements included.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate care with physicians.
• Supervise nonprofessional staff and delegate tasks as needed.
• Participate in unit education and maintain competency standards.
