Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Labor & Delivery unit is hiring for FT Nights (36 hrs/wk), with 12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7 am. This role involves applying nursing processes, patient education, and coordinating care across the team to ensure positive outcomes.

A relocation stipend is available for eligible new hires. We seek compassionate nurses skilled in family-centered care, with experience in obstetrical populations and a commitment to excellence in patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program: Nursing (Required).
• 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse licensure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
