Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support the night shift production. Qualifications

• 1 year of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a laboratory or quality assurance function
• Prefer some college science and math courses or an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling of raw materials, in-process and finished products
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation
• Wash lab utensils and glassware
• Prepare and stock reagents and media
• Maintain monitoring records of all lab analytical testing
• Report non-compliant laboratory testing results
• Receive, stock and inventory lab supplies and reagents
• Perform chemical, physical and microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process and finished products
• Maintain laboratory reports in a timely, accurate and legible manner
• Maintain the laboratory and adjacent areas clean and orderly
• Adhere to DFA policies and procedures (Safety, GMP, Food Safety & Quality)
• Report any conditions that may lead to non-compliance
• Other duties as assigned by the Lab / QC Supervisor
