Loyola University Medical Center Nursing seeks a Lab Support Service Tech (Core) for night shift at our Maywood, IL location. You will support patient care through receipt, processing, and routing of specimens, providing friendly service by phone, computer, or in person.

Performs duties from pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing according to SOPs, ensures proper sample identification, and collaborates with teammates to triage and move samples efficiently through all testing phases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience is required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent training preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties from pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing per SOPs; receives and evaluates specimens to ensure proper identification and sample quality; collaborates with team to triage and move samples efficiently through testing.
