Job summary

Loyola University Medical Center Nursing seeks a Lab Support Service Tech (Core) for night shift at our Maywood, IL location. You will support patient care through receipt, processing, and routing of specimens, providing friendly service by phone, computer, or in person.

Performs duties from pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing according to SOPs, ensures proper sample identification, and collaborates with teammates to triage and move samples efficiently through all testing phases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience is required.
• Associate's degree or equivalent training preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience preferred.

About The Job

In this role, the Lab Support Service Tech (Core) will support the delivery of patient care through the receipt, processing, and routing of specimens. Provides customer friendly service to any person requesting supplies or information by phone, computer or in person.

What You Will Do

• Performs assigned duties from the pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing according to standard operating procedures. Receives and evaluates all specimens to ensure positive identification and appropriateness of sample. Works with fellow team members to properly triage and efficiently move samples through all phases of testing.

Required

• Less than one year of previous job-related experience

• Associate's Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Compensation

Pay Range $20.00 - 21.00 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
