Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Laboratory Lead Technologist for the night shift at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, MA. The role supports the Laboratory/Pathology Department with analyses, troubleshooting, and reporting. Requires MT certification and a Medical Technology degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent (minimum 36 semester hours in biology and physical sciences).
• Certification as Medical Technologist (MT ASCP) or equivalent required on hire and maintained.
• Experience as a Generalist Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses and identify critical or unexpected results.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions with vendors and investigate incidents.
• Document and report all findings in accordance with safety regulations and standards.
• Prioritize and schedule staff; conduct in-service trainings annually.
