Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Medical Technologist for St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. The role involves performing diversified duties in the Laboratory to deliver accurate and timely patient analyses that support diagnosis and treatment.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology and MT (ASCP) certification within two years; microbiology experience is preferred. Vaccination against seasonal flu and COVID-19 is required or an approved exemption may be requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology and up to one year of related work experience.
• Certification as Medical Technologist (MT ASCP or equivalent) within two years of hire.
• Microbiology experience preferred; training available for right candidate.
• Must be fully vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified duties in the Laboratory Section to produce quality patient analysis.
• Support diagnosis and treatment by timely, accurate test results.
