Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Laboratory Assistant for an onsite assignment in Irving, TX. This 3+ month contract runs nights (Tuesday–Saturday, 1:00 AM–9:30 AM CDT) with 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

You will sort and receive specimens, perform routine instrument maintenance, prepare reagents, document data and support QA/QC under supervision. High school diploma required; medical assistant training helpful; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant training helpful.
• Math and science courses preferred.
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Sort and receive specimens in the department.
• Performs routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Prepare specimens and reagents for testing.
• Record data (temperature charts) and maintain files.
• Follow PPE requirements and safety regulations.
