Job summary

Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is seeking an RN Nursing Supervisor for the Labor and Delivery unit. This full-time role involves night-shift duties with weekend/holiday rotations on a 12-hour schedule.

The supervisor coordinates unit activities to ensure high-quality patient care and assumes nursing administration in the manager's absence. The unit delivers ~185 babies monthly and has full on-site OB resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and California RN License required.
• National Provider BLS certification required.
• Providence in-house nursing training or 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
• NRP Certification, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and RNC-OB/C-EFM certifications highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of the Patient Care Unit to facilitate quality patient care.
• Administer the nursing unit as delegated by or in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Oversee Night shift operations and weekend/holiday rotations in Labor and Delivery.
