Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Specialty Unit Staff RN - Relief Charge in Labor & Delivery in Harbor City, CA. The role requires leadership to guide the healthcare team, develop and adjust individualized care plans, and ensure high-quality documentation and patient confidentiality.

You'll support nurses on the floor, mentor new staff, and help optimize workflow while adhering to Kaiser policies and safety standards. The position is part-time night shift, located in Harbor City.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• 1 year recent L&D experience or KP L&D course.
• California RN license required, BLS certification.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring cert required at hire or within 12 months.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program cert.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support cert.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Lead the healthcare team; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings with the healthcare team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and service standards.
• Serve as a resource, preceptor, and mentor to staff.
• Organize work to minimize overtime and support system improvements.
• Ensure workplace safety principles are followed.
