Qualifications

• Active California RN license is required.
• 1 year of recent full-time Labor & Delivery experience or completion of KP L&D course within the prior 12 months.
• BLS certification required; Advanced Fetal Monitoring, NRP and ACLS certifications required or within the specified timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Lead the healthcare team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings with physicians and healthcare team colleagues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and customer service standards.
• Act as a resource and mentor to new staff.
• Organize work to minimize overtime.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
