Job summary
AG Globe Services is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for Waterbury, CT. You will provide nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery in a fast-paced hospital setting.
The ideal candidate holds an active CT RN license (or eligible compact) and has prior Labor & Delivery experience with strong maternal/fetal monitoring skills, clinical judgment, and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible compact license.
- Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of maternal and fetal monitoring and obstetric nursing practices.
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor patient status.
- Monitor fetal heart rate and recognize changes requiring intervention.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
- Assist physicians and healthcare team during deliveries and procedures.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection-control and hospital policies.
