Job summary

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) in Harrison, AR is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery night shifts. You will provide bedside obstetric and newborn care from triage through postpartum, interpreting fetal monitoring and supporting vaginal and cesarean births.

Join a Baby-Friendly unit with ongoing AWHONN/NRP education and a strong team-focused culture. AR license, BLS/NRP, and OB credentials are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Current Arkansas RN license (or compact eligible).
• BLS at hire; NRP within 6 months.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• BSN; 2+ years of nursing experience (OB preferred).
• ACLS; S.T.A.B.L.E. within 1 year.
• RNC-OB or OB certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Triage & assess OB patients; update care plans; inform providers.
• Labor & Delivery: monitor EFM; support vaginal/cesarean births; manage epidurals.
• Medications & IVs: start IVs; administer/monitor oxytocin per protocol.
• Postpartum & education: manage recovery; teach safe newborn care and feeding.
• Newborn care: initial checks; monitor temperature, breathing, and glucose; escalate concerns.
• Teamwork & safety: SBAR handoffs; Baby-Friendly practices; infection prevention.
