Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston seeks a Registered Nurse Charge Nurse for Labor and Delivery at our Greater Heights hospital. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) position leads the L&D team, coordinates nursing care with physicians and a multidisciplinary staff, and ensures safe, compassionate care for mothers and babies.

You will support growth, care planning, and adherence to regulatory standards, with Texas RN licensure and BLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas RN license.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); additional certifications may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills inventory and patient age/needs.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborates with and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Coordinates treatment plans; develops/implements discharge and transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement.
• Addresses diverse patient needs across the continuum of care and upholds service standards.
• Adheres to regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards.
