Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Plumber for our Tenant Improvement team in California. The role requires a minimum of four years of commercial plumbing experience, and night-shift availability from 9:00 p.m.

to 6:00 a.m. A company vehicle and gas card are provided for travel between jobsites. You will install pipes, fixtures, and service connections in commercial retail environments, read blueprints, and adhere to OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of recent and relevant commercial plumbing experience
• Valid driver license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Verbal and written English literacy for the use of cell phone and mobile email communication

Responsibilities

• Attach or install plumbing pipes such as: PVC, ABS, Cast Iron (no hub) and/or copper
• Mount new fixtures according to manufacturer specifications and municipal codes
• Install service for grease traps, sump pumps, sanitary waste, water systems and utilities within a commercial retail environment
• Perform manual labor to clean and prepare jobsites which includes but not limited to dig trenches, set braces to support excavations sides, erect scaffolding and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials
• Properly use equipment such as a jack hammers and saw cutters
• Read and layout from blueprints, plans and isometric drawings
• Must be able to work according to current OSHA safety guidelines and policies
• Willingness to take on additional duties as needed to support the department
