Job summary

LRS is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring safe operation. The role requires interpreting work orders, diagnosing faults, and following strict safety rules within our shop environment in Northbrook, IL.

You will conduct inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and repair or replace defective parts while adhering to health, safety and quality standards. ASE certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
• Repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Needs excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles and industrial equipment.
• Interprets work orders and technical manuals.
• Keeps equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
• Diagnoses faults or malfunctions.
• Adjusts equipment and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems.
• Obey all workplace health and safety and code of conduct workplace rules.
• Undertake the training and assessment required under the training plan.
