Job summary

Magna Seating South Carolina is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support the night shift operations, ensuring reliable manufacturing IT systems and infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex issues, manage databases, and collaborate with vendors and corporate IT to implement long-term solutions.

The role requires a strong background in Windows/Linux environments, SQL reporting, and ERP/MES integrations, with a proactive approach to system uptime and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Technology or Information Systems.
• Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and third-party support organizations.
• Working knowledge of SQL queries, database reporting, and data analysis techniques.
• Understanding IT Service Management concepts including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 technical support for manufacturing systems, infrastructure, databases, and business applications.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve advanced IT issues affecting production and reliability.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT, vendors, and internal teams to implement long-term solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis of outages and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain system configurations, documentation, and knowledge base articles.
