Job summary

BJC HealthCare seeks a Med Surg Charge Nurse (RN) for Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Valley Park, MO. This team-lead role covers night shifts on a Neuro unit, a 24-bed unit caring for stroke, seizures, MS and general medicine patients.

Under the direction of the manager, you will direct unit activities, provide direct patient care as needed, and act as a clinical resource to nursing staff. This is a safety-sensitive position with Magnet designation and strong teamwork expectations.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required.
• Experience: 2–5 years in nursing.
• Licenses & Certifications: RN.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve gaps in care from hospital to discharge and into ambulatory care.
• Leads development and implementation of complex care plans with interprofessional team and family.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and supports practice changes with new knowledge.
• Analyzes practice gaps and enhances patient satisfaction and quality of care.
